Update <new news>
The
Alpen Gig scheduled for the 15th got cancelled. A conflict with a musician
who wasn't even scheduled at the same time but apparently felt the stage
belonged to him even when he wasn't playing.
Such is life no hard feelings. Hope you hadn't made any plans..
An extra
note: As folks move around, emails addresses change and I get an increasing
number of undeliverables when notifying you about upcoming shows. Several
folks at recent shows did not get updates about the show and found out
from friends at the last minute. I don't know how many more missed the
shows. If you want to get updates of gigs in your area please send me a
note with the email address you'd like me to use. Please put 'my
email address' in the message bar so I don't
delete you as spam and include the area that your from. This way I'll include

Well winter isalmost gone and with Carnival behind us it's time to update the website for those of you who still return every now and then and are sick of finding 2007. Life is pretty darn good and while I wouldn't mind playing a little more often than I do these days, I also don't mind not playing. A gig here and there seems to be just about right.
Financial planning and insurance has become the business part of my life. Which I've gotten quite used to. .
Did have a fun time in California in October returning just as the fires were getting started. Very interesting. Also the garage is done, only the wiring remains.
Going back to California
for work in May.
Must be somethin more
to say, it just doesn't come to mind.
Started recording some new music but I've fallen back out of it again. Got two new songs in the can. Maybe I can get back into some songwriting here in the next month or two When I'm not in the office or working around the house. My daughter got a full set of drums from Santa last year and already has a Strat and a small Marshall amp so we're starting to jam a little. Also got the old album Standin in the Rain mixed down to digital and onto a CD. Standin in the Rain is an album of originals recorded back around 1989 in my old analog studio. I like the songs but the engineering is a bit dated. I dumped each track onto my digital 12 track recorder and cleaned them up quite well. But many tracks were recorded with reverb and other things that I can't remove. However if you've owned to old version you know what it sounds like, the new one is much better. Things are coming together. It may be a while before I get Standin in the Rain up on the Cd order page so if you'd like a copy just order a copy of Stuck in the Present and in the message box say that you'd like Standin instead.
Keep looking up and looking ahead.
